Actress Sarah Chalke made her debut in acting, in a made-for-TV movie City Boy (1992) aged 16.

In 1993, a year after her first film, she replaced Alicia Goranson in the role of Becky on the TV series "Roseanne" (1988). From 2001 onwards she has played the part of Dr Elliot Reid in medical comedy/drama Scrubs.
